Rachelle becomes concerned when the largest tree in their maple orchard doesn't produce sap, putting the annual festival in jeopardy. Together with her brother Steven, she considers seeking outside help. Derek, a man she meets at the donut shop, turns out to be the perfect ally. As she works with Derek, the attraction between them grows. But just before the festival, Derek has to leave for a job, forcing Rachelle to reconsider the future of the orchard and their relationship.
