Amelia, a travel journalist who never travels, and never steps outside her comfort zone, dreams of having her own column. She gets this chance when she writes an article about the manatee in Puerto Rico, who are about to be released into the wild. There, she meets Fernando, who introduces her to a world that Amelia does not know. When the manatee are not ready for the wild and her boss catches her in a lie, Amelia must become creative to save her article and promotion.
